In these pictures you see three variations of plates; the elements of size, structure and material is variable. The reason why tribes starting out wearing them is not a given fact. Through the years there have been some interesting theories. One theory says that women scarred themselves like this, so that they would be of no further use in slavery. Wood as a term of beauty.
The wooden decorations that were to been seen in and around the village really caught my eye. Worn by childeren to elderly, they're the most present and impressive element as to be looked at as beauty.
